Yoga Therapy focuses on the 'the Individual'; respecting the current state and moving towards an overall sense of well being and wholeness. Practices are designed taking into consideration the individual’s history, constitution, age, occupation, energy levels, and the presenting symptoms. Progress is monitored regularly and practices changed accordingly.
Yoga therapy’s applications are based in the old Indic wisdom - Patanjali’s yoga sutras, which focuses on the transformation of human beings internally and externally through practices, self reflection, acceptance and surrender. Moving from gross, tangible aspects to more subtler, deeper aspects of an individual bringing harmony and alignment within our Physical body - relating to our food and lifestyle, the Physiological body - relating to our circadian rhythm, various organ systems and their functioning, the Psychological body - relating to our minds, memory, habit patterns, likes and dislikes, the Intellectual body - relating to our own wisdom, drawing strength and knowledge from within, connecting to our own true personality and the Joyful blissful body.
